Spray Foam Insulation
Spray foam insulation works for just about every project. It’s perfect for adding insulation to existing areas or from the ground up. Spray foam is a candidate for enclosed walls that exist, new walls, and unfinished floors. Choose between [open-cell] and [closed-cell] spray foam, depending on your project.
Fiberglass insulation comes in batts or rolls. You’ll find this insulation in many buildings—it is widely available, easy to use, and less costly than spray foam. Fiberglass is a terrific thermal insulator for our cold winters in the Pacific Northwest.
Foam Board Insulation
Foam boards can help insulate practically any part of your building, from the foundation to the roof. Foam boards work well to bolster exterior walls and other areas.
Cellulose Insulation is made from recycled materials and treated with a fire retardant and borates. It is blown in and well suited for retrofit projects—or areas where batts would not work. Loose-fill insulation is perfect for attics, walls, and between floors of office buildings.
Do you need a company to reinforce insulation in an existing building? Give us a call. Many of our older buildings in Oregon and Washington could use a new layer of insulation. Our team knows how to properly re-insulate to help lower your energy use and get the most value from your investment.
Why Insulate Your Commercial Building?
At HomeRx and Performance Insulation Energy Services , we take a lot of pride in our craftsmanship and ability to create a comfortable and safe environment through insulation. The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) list four primary reasons to insulate your building:
- Lower energy bills—Adding insulation lowers your energy bills and carbon footprint. Taking environmentally friendly steps with your property shows you’re a good steward of the community.
- Comfort—Who wants to spend all afternoon in an uncomfortable setting? Insulation and air sealing play a vital role in keeping your building occupants safe and comfortable. Without proper insulation, heat will always migrate to cold pockets.
- A quiet place—Loud conversations and other noises are a distraction. Adding insulation won’t eliminate the noises, but it will help reduce them.
- Go green—Want to attract good tenants? Lease rates for “green spaces can be 20 percent higher, according to the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
